I grew up in a small farming community called Ragland, KY, where I returned to build a house, with my wife on the family farm.  I am married to my wife, Jessica, and we have a daughter, Magnolia Grace.  In my life, GOD has led me to many adventures, being Magnolia’s ‘Big Fella’ (aka Dad) being the greatest.  My favorite pastimes are spending time with my wife and daughter and cruising through town in my 1974 Chevy Nova, which happens to have been my first car.  Educationally, I am a 4th generation graduate of Heath High School, Class of 1996.  I earned a Bachelor’s degree, in Organizational Leadership, from Mid-Continent University, in 2002, and a Master of Science degree, in Organizational Communication, from Murray State University, in 2009.  It was at Murray State where I developed my love of the classroom.  Professionally, I spent 12 years in graphic design, publishing, and marketing; 11 years in sales and distribution in the HVAC-R industry, and over 16 years as an instructor of communication.  I now serve as a senior training specialist for Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership.  Most importantly, CHRIST saved me from my sin in November of 1985, at the tender age of 7.  In June of 1996, HE called me into the preaching ministry.  Since that time, I have been allowed to serve in student ministry, for 15 years, as both youth pastor and consultant; minister of education, church consultant, itinerant speaker, pulpit supply (in many churches in five states).  In April of 2016, HE called me to my greatest ministry adventure as pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where I still serve.  It is not only my calling, but also my passion, to train and educate others to follow CHRIST and saturate our society with HIS Gospel.

I have been a math teacher for 15 years.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Tarleton State University in 2008.  After this, I went on to get my Master of Education with Principal Certification in 2014 from TSU and then finished my 18 graduate hours in math at Texas Tech University. I’ve taught at the post-secondary level since 2016 at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, TX.
